Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program: Your Route to PR in Manitoba

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) lets Manitoba nominate skilled workers, graduates and business investors for Canadian permanent residence. Most candidates submit an Expression of Interest and wait for a Letter of Advice to Apply. If Manitoba nominates you, you then apply to IRCC for PR.

Honest advice on your Manitoba chances

Manitoba draws often target specific jobs, regions or invited candidates, so a high score alone isn’t enough. Our RCIC, licensed by CICC, checks your job, experience and ties against current MPNP rules and tells you plainly if your profile is unlikely to be picked. Fees are agreed in writing, and we never promise a nomination.

Manitoba puts strong weight on people already working in the province or with real ties to it. This service is for workers in Manitoba, Manitoba graduates now on a PGWP, and skilled workers abroad with a Manitoba connection. The province changed its graduate pathway in June 2026, so timing matters. We check your fit and help you prepare a strong, complete application.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s Manitoba’s part of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program, often searched as Canada PNP Manitoba. The province selects workers, graduates and business people it needs and nominates them for permanent residence. Nominees then apply to IRCC. Most MPNP pathways use an Expression of Interest system with regular draws.

On June 11, 2026, Manitoba closed the Career Employment Pathway of its International Education Stream. Graduates are now generally directed to the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway, which usually needs at least six months of continuous, full-time work with the same Manitoba employer before you can apply.

For the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway, yes: you need a full-time, long-term job with a Manitoba employer, usually after six months working there. Skilled Worker Overseas focuses more on ties to Manitoba, invitations or Express Entry. Business investors follow separate rules.

It’s Manitoba’s invitation to submit a full nomination application. Manitoba ranks Expressions of Interest and issues Letters of Advice to Apply in regular draws, often targeting certain jobs, regions or groups. You then have a set deadline to apply, so your documents should be ready before you’re invited.

Only through Manitoba’s Express Entry pathway. If you’re nominated that way, 600 points are added to your Comprehensive Ranking System score, which usually leads to an invitation in a later federal draw. Other MPNP nominees apply to IRCC through the separate base process.

Manitoba looks at things like close family or friends living in the province, past study or work there, or an invitation through a recruitment initiative. A strong connection can matter a lot for the Skilled Worker Overseas pathway. Every claim needs documents, so keep your proof ready.

You must genuinely intend to live and work in Manitoba. Permanent residents have mobility rights in Canada, but moving away soon after landing can raise questions about whether your intent was real. Manitoba often asks for a settlement plan, so honest, realistic plans matter.

Manitoba charges a provincial application fee for most pathways, and IRCC’s PR fees apply after nomination. As of April 30, 2026, most economic PR applications have a $990 processing fee and a $600 Right of Permanent Residence Fee. Check immigratemanitoba.com for the current provincial fee.
